Fireworks

	Dial 1-403-625-2248 when you have a bylaw issue or concern around fireworks.  Call 9-1-1 in an emergency. The current bylaw addressing the topic of fireworks in Nanton is Bylaw 1204 (2009). Section 14 Fireworks 14.1 - No person shall use Fireworks or permit the use of Fireworks on his or her property or property under his or her control, within the boundaries of the Town.
14.2 - Subject to section 14.1, authorization for Fireworks will only be issued for the discharge of professional Fireworks and discharged by a minimum Level 2 Fireworks Supervisor as accredited by Natural Resources Canada. Section  Offence Charge 14.1 Using Fireworks, or permitting use of Fireworks $150.00

Authorizations under section 14.2 are dealt with jointly between Town Administration, Community Peace Officers, and the Fire Chief.

The boundaries of the Town are shown below, but it is important to be aware that firework displays within the M.D. of Willow Creek are also prohibited without the written permission of the Manager of Emergency Services, no permission being available in the event of Fire Restrictions or Bans being in place.
