After considering the results from the online survey on proposed Cannabis regulations during the Public Hearing, Council voted in favour of adding a 50m separation distance from Retail Cannabis store use to the Centennial Park playground and the Dave Wallace Park playground.The 50m separation distance to provincial health care facilities and public schools remains unchanged (see map for more details). Council will decide on the passing of the revised Land Use Bylaw amendment at its September 4 Regular Meeting. Thank you to the respondents who provided input on the proposed changes. A copy of the revised bylaw, pending further readings, with a map showing these separation distances, will be placed on the Pending Bylaws page (link) for review.
