Mission
To provide the most efficient fire protection and rescue delivery system for the citizens of and visitors to our municipality.
The Nanton Fire Department is a volunteer service consisting of around 24 volunteer members. Fire protection and rescue services are provided to the citizens of our municipality. The department operates under the direction of the Fire Chief. The Fire Department provides additional services and information to the community, including:
- Fire prevention awareness
- Public Education
- First aid and CPR training programs
- Permitted outdoor fires (see current fire bylaw)
The Nanton Fire Department raises funds for the purchase of apparatus and equipment which minimizes capital expenditures for the department. This is done through the Willow Creek Firefighters Foundation and the Mosquito Creek Firefighters Society.
