The Assistant Utility Operator works with the Town’s utilities team in the operation and maintenance of Nanton’s water, wastewater and stormwater systems. This is an entry-level position with opportunities to gain experience and work toward required operator certifications.
Position highlights include:
- $33.21 per hour, plus applicable overtime and on-call rates
- Full-time CUPE position with benefits and LAPP pension
- Weekend and rotational 24/7 on-call work required
- Valid Alberta Class 3 Driver’s Licence required
- Level 1 certification in all four water and wastewater disciplines expected within 18 months
- Mechanical aptitude and municipal experience are assets
